Planning an outline, kind of....

There is so much information out there on the topic of starting a book. Just googling How to start a book, will lead you to hundreds of results if not thousands. Here is my thing, everyone is wired differently! What works for some will not work for you and vice versa. I have a hard time creating an outline for my stories. So far I have relied solely on free writing. I write what pops into my little head and usually it'll earn a few giggles or a wipe of a tear.
I have tried creating outlines. Using notebooks, printed check lists and even notecards to try and lay out the entire book in hopes of creating sense out of the chaos in my brain. It usually just ends in a scribbled notebook. Given, my handwriting is barely legible so my notes look like chicken scratch on coke....
I have come across a guide written by one of my all time favorite authors, Gena Showalter, that is a step by step inspirational guide in starting, and completing a novel. The book is called "All Write Already" and is available on Amazon. I ordered one myself and was pleased with how personal it seemed to be able to get inside such a successful authors head. If you are new to writing and want that daily step by step guide, I highly recommend looking into the book.
In closing.... do you booboo. There is no rhyme or reason to how you create amazing characters and worlds, doing so brings joy and adventures to others and that in itself is a gift.
